  i don’t think it’s necessarily murder. the difference between murder and the death penalty is that the death penalty is legal.

  also it’s pretty hard to accuse someone (who is actually innocent) so hard that they actually get put on death row. there is a long line of trials and hearings that takes more than 20 years - ramon salcido is still awaiting his own execution, now more than 20 years overdue - and the rate of error has gone down.

  but i totally see where you’re coming from and i do agree that there should be more restrictions, like moratorium and everything
